Thank you for stopping by my website, art lovers! Ever since I was a child, I've been blessed with the ability to see the beauty in everything. Art is my way to express this! For over 20 years, I have taught children art professionally and have enjoyed creating art as a hobby, which led me to eventually obtain my visual arts certification at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I have a very eclectic, whimsical style that I enjoy expressing through the use of oil paints, acrylic paints, charcoal, graphite, oil pastels, mixed media collage, and chalk pastels. I enjoy creating unique murals, landscapes, collages, portraiture, and still life. I am inspired by artists that capture the world boldly, honestly, and tenderly. My biggest inspirations are nature, animals, nostalgia, music and film icons of pop culture, artistic movers and shakers, and innovative thinkers such as Vincent Van Gogh, Edouard Manet, Berthe Morisot, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, and the list goes on forever. What interests me most is the way others perceive the world and what they create from this unique perspective. I enjoy creating things that people love; things that help them hold on to cherished memories or simply inspire them and bring them peace and joy. I work out of my home studio in my free time, and will be teaching art in public middle school this coming school year! My feeling is that even the ordinary things around us can give us all we need to make something magical!
